Traditionally, moxibustion products has mainly been applied with a moxa stick. A moxa stick is a cylindrical long roll of dried mugwort wrapped in cotton paper. In contrast, AIAITIE is new moxibustion product that was developed in 2015.
If you examine the AIAITIE product, you will see two parts. First, there is a moxa (mugwort) stick and a torx base. The moxa stick is firmly attached to the base. The moxa stick is made of 5 year old golden mugwort from the Debie mountain area in China. Following selection, sorting, crushing, purifying, drying, and shaping; 1 kg moxa is obtained from 30 kg of mugwort. The torx base is a patented design by the AIAITIE company. The torx base uses a plum blossom design. There are small holes at the bottom of the base, and the moxa smoke comes out from the small holes at the inside of the base. You can see one end of the moxa stick, which is firmly held about 1 cm from the bottom of the base. This design ensures your safety while providing the heat that is an important component of the treatment. There is yellow paper on the bottom of the base. When this paper is removed, it exposes a Glutinous rice glue. Glutinous rice glue is an environmentally friendly adhesive formed by using glutinous rice raw materials. This glue is used to attach the torx base to the skin. While the glue firmly holds the torx base in place during treatment, it also allows the based to be easily removed from the skin following treatment. Compared with the traditional Moxa stick, the design of the AIAITIE products is much more advanced. The technology for producing and manufacturing AIAITIE is also more complex. Needless to say, since the cost of manufacturing AIAITIE products is higher than traditional moxa sticks, the AIAITIE product must be sold at a higher price.
